If your OSN+ stream keeps freezing or buffering while other video apps work smoothly, the issue might be related to your TV’s network settings — specifically IPv6. Disabling IPv6 on your Smart TV has helped many users improve playback quality and reduce buffering.
🛠 Why Disable IPv6?
Some TVs or internet providers don’t fully support IPv6, causing delays or interruptions in streaming. Disabling IPv6 forces the device to use IPv4 instead, which is more stable in most cases.
📺 How to Disable IPv6 on Different Smart TVs
- Samsung Smart TVs
- Go to Settings
- Tap General
- Select Network
- Choose Network Status
- Click on IP Settings
- Scroll to IPv6 and turn it Off
- LG Smart TVs
-
Open Settings
-
Go to All Settings > Network
-
Select your connected Wi-Fi or Ethernet
-
Tap Advanced Wi-Fi Settings
-
Disable IPv6
- Sony Smart TVs (Android/Google TV)
-
Press the Home button
-
Go to Settings > Network & Internet
-
Choose your network
-
Go to Advanced Settings
-
Toggle IPv6 to Off
Note: Not all models have this option. If not, see router method below.
- Hisense, TCL, and Other TVs
Depending on the operating system (Roku, Google TV, VIDAA, etc.), the option may be:
-
Under Network Settings > Advanced
-
Or not available at all (use router method below)
💡 Alternative: Disable IPv6 from Your Router
If your TV doesn’t allow you to turn off IPv6 directly:
-
Log in to your router settings (usually by typing
192.168.1.1
in your browser) -
Navigate to Advanced Settings
-
Find IPv6 Settings and disable it
⚠️ This will affect all devices on your network.
